Hands-Free, Voice-Activated, Internet-Connected Assistant
CRN introduced ivee Sleek during its Kickstarter days back in June, and now it's available for the holidays. ivee Sleek will answer questions, heed commands and control third-party Internet-connected devices at home. Through a "my ivee" portal, users can connect ivee to Wi-Fi devices and look at and control them through a computer, tablet or smartphone. By simply saying "Hello, ivee," this tiny box will turn commands into actions. Using an artificial intelligence system, ivee Sleek will be able to understand and answer questions from 33 different categories such as time, weather, stock prices, radio settings and more. Using cloud-based technology, ivee Sleek will become smarter and personalized to the user and the surroundings.
ivee Sleek works with platform solutions from iControl Networks, but in January the device will be integrated with Staples Connect and Lowe's. In the near future, ivee Sleek also will have the capability to independently control devices such as lights and lock devices by Nest, Lockitron, Belkin, Philips, SmartThings and Zonoff. ivee Sleek is currently available for $299.99.
