Lenovo North America Channel Chief Sammy Kinlaw says the company is poised for growth and making changes designed to bring more clarity and focus to its channel program. That includes some new responsibilities for Kinlaw, who will now oversee the Beijing, China-based PC giant's North American SMB group.
Kinlaw is also bringing specific focus to segments Lenovo has targeted for growth, including workstations and hyper-convergence, two areas where it is on a mission to grow by winning share from its primary competitors, Dell EMC and HP.
Kinlaw spoke with CRN at Lenovo's annual Accelerate partner conference in Orlando. What follows is an edited excerpt of that conversation.
