3. Partner Professional Services

Erickson said partners also should take a closer look at Juniper's new Partner Professional Services program.

Partner Professional Services, also introduced in August of last year, differs from Partner Support Services in that it is more focused on network design and planning services, rather than maintenance, troubleshooting and support. When Juniper introduced Partner Professional Services, it said it sees a $20 billion addressable market around professional services for both itself and its partners.

Erickson said roughly 20 partners have joined Partner Professional Services since its launch, but the company's goal is to at least double that number by the end of the year.

Both programs are only available to Juniper Elite partners.
