One of the most buzzed-about networking trends in 2014 was the Internet of Things, an emerging network of connected or "smart" objects, ranging from cars to thermostats to refrigerators.
Davra Networks is one of a growing group of startups targeting the Internet of Things market, but what sets the Dublin-based company apart is its focus on the channel. Davra emerged from stealth in June, touting RuBAN, a cloud-based platform designed to help managed service providers offer new Internet of Things services to customers.
RuBAN takes the raw data generated from Internet of Things objects and presents it in a way that's easy to visualize and consume, according to Davra. From there, the idea is that MSPs can offer those insights to their customers as an Internet of Things managed service.
Davra's platform is already being leveraged by systems integration giants such as Presidio, a New York-based solution provider and No. 22 on CRN's Solution Provider 500 list.
