Channel Changes

March proved to be a big month for telecom channel partners, complete with expansions to their own partner programs and the addition of new platforms and tools for the solution provider community. At the same time, carriers were busy keeping up with the channel by adding new products and partners to their robust channel programs.

AT&T, DataXoom, Verizon, IOVOX, BluLogix and SaaSMAX all made news in March, with some updating their channel programs and others offering more products to solution providers.

In case you missed it, here's a review of six telecom and service provider news and moves that happened in March.

AT&T Puts More Products Within Reach Of Solution Providers

AT&T's Alliance Channel, the carrier's partner program for solution providers, now has more products.

Dallas-based AT&T expanded its Network on Demand platform to Alliance Channel members. Through the platform, solution providers can give end customers more control over their networks, including the ability to dial bandwidth up and down or make changes to their services. Solution providers also have access to AT&T's IoT products, including Asset Management for Equipment and Machinery, Asset Management for Storage Tanks, and Asset Management for Shipping Containers.

DataXoom Updates Channel Program, Unveils New App

DataXoom, a Berkeley, Calif.-based solution provider that specializes in mobility services, has expanded its channel program by launching a "Mobile-First" partner initiative. The significant expansion of the program will allow more agent partners to close monthly recurring revenue opportunities around mobility, the company said.

The new program will give DataXoom partners access to a sales-focused mobile application called DX Partner. The app will include a quote request, commission calculator and deal registration feature, as well as training videos. The "wall" in the app will allow partners to see product updates, industry news, informative webinars, and the latest DataXoom channel promotions, the solution provider said.

Verizon Partner Program Gains Mobility Partner

Verizon Enterprise Solutions has added Complete Tablet Solutions (CTS), a managed mobility services provider, to its Verizon Partner Program.

The addition will give Verizon business customers access to mobility solutions and bundled mobile offerings. The partnership will also mean one predicable bill for data and services for end customers, CTS said.

CTS' Mobility as a Service program includes device enrollment, on-site service, zero-deductible repair, advance replacement of devices, and access to a 24-7 call center for support.

IOVOX Unveils Global Channel Program

IOVOX, a London-based provider of global call analytics, has unveiled a channel program for partners this month-- its Affiliate program.

The new channel program will help solution provider partners add call performance and analytics services to communications services they are already selling to SMB customers. The program will allow IOVOX to reach more business customers by way of their relationships with trusted solution provider partners. The provider today has customers in 32 countries.

Today, the IOVOX Affiliate program is available to channel partners in the United States, Canada and throughout Europe, the company said.

Telecom Billing Provider Introduces Connected Cloud Service Marketplace

Telecom billing software provider BluLogix is using its billing platform to provide a connected cloud service marketplace solution for both solution providers and reseller channel partners that will give partners control over the buying process.

The marketplace model will let BluLogix partners sell cloud services, such as UCaaS, mobility, storage, and networking. The marketplace's functionality, along with its billing capabilities, gives end customers a more efficient way to purchase cloud services, while partners can maintain activation and invoicing processes, according to Great Falls, Va.-based BluLogix.

SaaSMAX Shows Off Commission Tracking Platform For Partners

SaaSMAX Corp., an IT distributor and SaaS marketplace for channel partners, business users, and vendors, has this month unveiled its SaaS Reseller Commission Tracking Platform that solution providers can leverage to generate sales and recurring revenue, SaaSMAX said.

According to the San Diego-based company, the latest platform lets partners identify and select SaaS products, then promote and sell them via easy-to-use digital marketing campaigns. Solution providers can use the platform to track sales and commissions based on those campaigns.
