Top Honors: Kaspersky Hails Best Partners Of 2010

Kaspersky Lab marked its annual Americas Partner Conference, held Feb. 11-14 at the Moon Palace Resort in tropical Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, by honoring some its most outstanding partners. The award ceremony was conducted in front of more than 300 Americas partners in attendance. Here are a few of Kaspersky's biggest sales drivers, deal closers and rising stars.

Kaspersky partner Nexx Generation Security Solutions captured the Canadian Partner of the Year Award. Nexx Generation Security Solutions specializes in security analysis, security architecture development, integration and project management.

Acrodex, another Canadian partner, won honors as a Kaspersky Rising Star from that country.

Edmonton, Alberta, Canada-based Acrodex provides strategic IT services designed specifically for enterprise and mid-market organizations based on technology provisioning, enterprise software licensing, managed operations, IT infrastructure, network solutions, Web application development, and project management.

Areas of focus include notebooks, desktops, printers, servers and storage, unified communications, security, wireless, power and cooling, networking, software licensing and mobility solutions.



CDW was founded in 1984 and as of December 31, 2009 employed approximately 6,150 workers. In 2008, the company generated sales of $8.1 billion.

Charlotte, N.C.-based Software Express took top honors for Kaspersky's U.S. Partner of the Year. Founded in 1984, Software Express provides affordable software for the educational sector, offering on-site specialists in volume licensing and networking for an array of products that range from antivirus protection to special needs assistive devices. The company aims to be a one-stop technology shop for schools, providing customers with all relevant and necessary applications including Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat or Norton Antivirus.

AllTech1, based in Portland, Ore. is the first locally owned Microsoft Gold Certified Advanced Infrastructure Partner and Small Business Specialist in all of Portland and the metro area. Its accolades include a contract with the US government to restore the email files of Enron executives helping to prosecute them in October 2001. It was also Microsoft's provider of choice for the relocation and reintegration of 350 servers, switches, NAS and SAN from multiple labs on various campus facilities to a consolidated hardened offsite facility, and was the civilian contractor helping to train the US Army's Computer Warfare Defense Team.

EsyWorld specializes in the distribution of domestic and imported software along with pre and post sales support for numerous verticals including finance, telecom and government. Its portfolio includes security products such as antivirus and Internet security for a wide range of markets that span from home users to large enterprises.

Founded in 1978, GMS is the largest national computer consultancy firm, providing an array of computer and Internet infrastructure to the country's largest national corporations. GMS became the first provider to implement an international ERP system and was also the first to provide complete automation for the country's food factories, retail sales, pharmaceutical, cement and timber. GMS also pioneered security solutions for ISPs to manage multiple operations.
