Xsigo: Building Private Clouds From Existing Data Center Resources

Xsigo Systems, a San Jose, Calif.-based developer of appliances that allow any server and storage devices connect to each other in the data center, is showing its Xsigo VP560 I/O Director, a non-proprietary virtual I/O solution designed specifically for private cloud infrastructures. This 2U appliance interoperates with leading hardware and software to let customers configure their own standardized rack-based computing architectures, or "pods," that enable the efficient delivery of scalable compute resources.
