Solaris-On-Intel Project Gets Underway

The announcement came earlier this week that collaboration on OpenSolaris-Intel has begun, and the work is obviously in its embryonic stages.

Sun and Intel established a broad alliance and announced it in January. Now developers are rolling up their sleeves and getting to work. Areas of development listed on the project's site range from improving performance to working on virtualization.
