The Free Software Foundation did not release a new draft of the Gnu General Public License Saturday, but the new draft is promised for public perusal this week.

According to Bruce Perens, the new release will include wording to address the type of cross-patent licensing agreements that Microsoft and Novell inked. That language is still being written, according to Perens' post.

This would be the third discussion draft of the license, which most had expected to be done by now. The final draft is now expected in June.

The news comes out of the FSF's meeting in Cambridge today.
