Sage Reorganizes On Eve Of Partner Summit

Sage also said it is creating a new position "focused on partner strategy, programs and channel marketing" for its newly created Business Solutions Division. But it wasn't otherwise clear just how the changes would impact the software vendor's channel operations.

The changes were announced in a letter sent to channel partners Friday by Sage North America CEO Sue Swenson.

Sage North America is combining its Business Management and Industry & Specialized Solutions divisions into a single Business Solutions Division. The company has named Jodi Uecker-Rust as president of the division. Sage hired Uecker-Rust, once COO of Great Plains Software and more recently a vice president at Microsoft, in February as interim head of the Business Management Division.

Sage also named Doug Meyer to the new post of chief customer officer. Meyer had been president of the Industry & Specialized Solutions Division.

"These changes will help Sage in our continuing work with you, our partners, to deliver industry-leading customer experience with our products, services and support," Swenson said in her letter. The note included links to notes from Uecker-Rust, Meyer and Paul Johnson, executive vice president of sales for Sage Business Solutions, discussing the changes in more depth.

In his note, Uecker-Rust said Sage is "creating a new position focused on partner strategy, programs and marketing for the division to build on our industry-leading Partner Advantage program ... " He also cited the five-star status given to Sage's Partner Advantage program by Everything Channel, parent company of Channelweb.com.
