Comergent Technologies, a provider of enterprise e-commerce applications, announced Thursday the latest version of the Comergent E-Business System that supports a service-oriented architecture (SOA).

Release 6.4 includes a built-in message broker and new connectors to other service-oriented solutions, which allow users to use any type of XML format when exchanging information.

New adapters into other SOA vendors include an adapter for Salesforce.com's CRM application environment, and controls for BEA's SOA-based platform. The new message broker provides more flexibility and scalability by adding features such as queuing and guaranteed delivery.

The company also introduced an ASP version of its offering to reduce barriers for companies interested in performing enterprise e-commerce by providing a subscription-based pricing and service delivery model.

The Comergent E-Business System is designed to facilitate selling and ordering processes for an enterprise by focusing on three main product areas: Product information management; configuration, pricing, and quoting; and order management.
