Transactions Closed
In analyzing the number of closed transactions in the first half of 2008, Seagate once again led competitors, taking a commanding 56.2 percent of total dollars spent in the external storage market. Western Digital finished a distant second with 16.5 percent of the value of all deals closed. As it had with proposals, Sun once again had the largest average transaction size at $43,400.
