EMC's success in 2009 showed that EMC's channel strategy continues to be on the right track.
EMC has been combining attributes of its SAN, NAS and content-addressable storage products as part of a unified storage strategy, said Peter Thayer, director of marketing for the company's Clariion, Centera and Celerra product lines.
Much of the credit for EMC's success goes to its channel sales and channel marketing organization, Thayer said.
"We craft our offerings to respond to partner concerns," he said.
EMC is one of the most responsive vendors out there, said Marc Franz, national sales director of EMC and VMware solutions for FusionStorm, San Francisco."When we need a quote on special pricing, they can turn it around within a day, sometimes even sooner," he said.
