Arrow Enterprise Storage Solutions executives used EMC's Software Partner Conference to tell solution providers that it now carries EMC's Documentum ApplicationXtender software.

Lance Sedlak, director of marketing for enterprise storage at the Englewood, Colo.-based distributor, said ApplicationXtender gives solution providers one more tool to support EMC's information life-cycle management (ILM) strategy.

ApplicationXtender, a Windows-optimized solution for automating paper-based processes and archiving and accessing electronically managed documents, files and reports, was developed by Legato but was rebranded with the Documentum label as part of the shuffling of the software applications Hopkinton, Mass.-based EMC inherited from its Legato and Documentum acquisitions.

Arrow also carries EMC's Centera Storage Array for long-term archiving of fixed content files and Legato EmailXtender software, Sedlak said. "ApplicationXtender is another building block in our ILM infrastructure, focusing on compliance, records management, the whole ILM strategy," he said.
