Female role models: "You hear a lot about dreams at the Olympics, and Natalie du Toit's dreams could have died on a Monday morning in Cape Town when she eased her scooter out into the road after a swim practice and was broadsided by a careless driver. A week later she lay in a hospital bed with a stump where she used to have a left leg. Despite these challenges, she went on to win Gold in both the 2004 and 2008 Paralympic games and even more impressively qualified to compete in Beijing. She was also selected by her country to carry their flag in the Olympics."
