The Daily App: Microsoft OneNote

OneNote is Microsoft's simple note-taking and organization application that has been somewhat of an awkward fit in its Office lineup, providing a cross between the functionality of Word, PowerPoint and its basic Notepad.

The app version of OneNote, which integrates with Office Live, can synchronize data wirelessly over the cloud; the app is bright and -- when tapping into iPhone's retina display technology -- is crisp and clear.

OneNote is a free download, but you'll need the PC version of the app and the cloud-based Live version to get the full benefit of its reach and cross-platform capability.

We're hoping Microsoft can eventually offer the same quality in apps for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
