The Daily App: Adobe Connect For BlackBerry PlayBook

There are still only little more than 3,000 apps available for the BlackBerry PlayBook tablet platform, but one of the best so far is Adobe Connect.

Created by Adobe to provide, in its architecture, a Web-based live meeting and videoconferencing application, Adobe has successfully ported it over to RIM’s new tablet platform in a manner that is effective and sleek.

We signed up for a free trial account for Adobe Connect, and the app itself is a free download from the BlackBerry App World app store. Within five minutes, it was possible to get up, running, create a meeting and begin a presentation with video and audio originating from a BlackBerry PlayBook tablet.

While the broadcast video is a little jumpy, the audio is fine and the meeting management is adequate. However, for the PlayBook it is a comfortable way to run a quick, on-the-fly meeting with multiple participants.
