Systems Solutions Open-Xchange 5.

The hardware/software bundle combines either Novell SUSE or Red Hat Linux with Open-Xchange 5 running on an IBM xSeries box. New York-based Systems Solutions, sets the server up based on customer requirements.

The target audience ranges from small and medium businesses up to large enterprises. Open-Xchange, Tarrytown, N.Y., touts its offering as a low-cost but fully functional alternative to Microsoft Exchange Server and IBM Domino.

Systems Solutions can also use Open-Xchange's extensions to bring popular Microsoft Outlook and Palm client environments fully aboard.

The bundle, available now, starts at $1,250 for five users and ranges up to just over $8,000 for 200 users. Blocks of five additional seats can be added for an additional charge.
