StreamServe Names Channel Chief
The company is led by CEO Chris Stone, an industry veteran with years of experience at the Object Management Group and Novell.
Schwenk comes to the company after sales stints at Arbortext and SolidWorks. His goal is to build a consistent global channel strategy. The company would not say how much of its sales now go indirect, but wants more than 50 percent to flow through partners next year.
"My plans are to continue to leverage existing relationships and put in processes to standardize things globally. We have an inconsistent go-to-market model," Schwenk said.
Large companies use StreamServe's software to present and parse data collected from different back office applications and databases, so it can be read and understood. Telephone companies use it for billing, for example.
Schwenk said global accounts will continue to be served by direct sales, although he did not say how many such accounts there were. Partners already in those accounts should make themselves known to StreamServe, he added..Business from the lower two tiers of accounts will go through channels, he said.
Some 36 of StreamServe's 300 or so employees are in direct sales.
