MBS Makes Some Changes
Microsoft Business Solutions is making some changes.
Mark Jensen, who had been the GM of Axapta (Dynamics AX) since FY 2004 will now head up a broadened Industry Builder Initiative.
Under IBI, third-party solutions built atop Axapta are listed on the Microsoft price list.
So far, IBI has been limited to Axapta as a proof-of-concept platform although Microsoft has said it might expand, first to Great Plains (Dynamics GP)
As it works to converge its four ERP lines, Microsoft is now combining Navision (Dynamics NAV) and Axapta product marketing under General Manager Mogens Elsberg. Elsberg will continue to work out of Microsoft's Copenhagen development center, according to a company statement.
Great Plains long-timer Lynne Stockstad will remain general manager of Dynamics GP, the Dynamics RMS retail management system and Dynamics SL (aka Solomon) lines.
Brad Wilson remains GM of Dynamics CRM. All three GMs will continue to report to corporate vice president Tami Reller.
