Give Your Business A Makeover
OK, so I'll drop the hyperbole for a moment simply to point out that any solution provider interested in improving their business fundamentals has an opportunity to snag some free consulting through this contest. And who isn't interested in sprucing up their business or in a business makeover?
Here are the official rules. Apparently, close to 100 VARs have already thrown their hat in the ring, so competition could be stiff. The winner of the business makeover will be the reseller with the most compelling business case or need -- and the willingness to succeed at change. By the way, in the interest of full disclosure, yours truly will be one of the judges.
The stipulation, of course, is that you are a customer of ScanSource, a specialty distributor with five primary sales units that handle products covering automatic identification and data capture, point of sale, communications, videoconferencing and telephony.
The top prize includes onsite assistance from a business consultant as well as a trip to ScanSource headquarters where they'll get additional advice in the areas of human resources, marketing, sales and operations. Runners-up will receive $1,500 worth of partner marketing.
