The Daily App: IdeaCatch For BlackBerry PlayBook

In these early days in the life of the BlackBerry PlayBook platform, one of the most fertile areas for apps is also the most simple: note-taking apps.

There are variations to the note-taking app, though, and Idea Catch is one novel approach. A free download from the BlackBerry App World online store, Idea Catch is a quick, easy way to jot down ideas as they happen. The ideas are arranged in a series of tags – “Home” ideas, “Work” ideas, “Stale” ideas, etc. – and each tag is depicted graphically as a light bulb. (Get it: a light bulb for each group of ideas?)

This is not an app that you could expect would auto-sync with Outlook tasks, for example, but for running around all day with a PlayBook in tow, having an app like Idea Catch provides an easy way to do just what the name says: catch your developing ideas so they don’t fall through the cracks.
