The Daily App: IM+ Pro For iPad

IM+ Pro for iPad, a $5.99 download from the Apple iTunes App Store, is in a number of ways another IM service aggregator for a mobile device. However, a couple of features in this app are worth considering – including a group conference chat feature that for us worked in our AIM account.

Additionally, IM+ Pro allows for sharing location information, photos, sending video and voice messages as well as sending a chat log from a particular chat to yourself via email. It also provides a soothing, mountain landscape background that blocks out and integration with Google Maps.

The question becomes then: Why pay $5.99 for an IM app when you can get the same functionality out of other apps that are free?

IM + Pro just makes the experience of instant messaging on the iPad both enjoyable and efficient, with functions and a layout that make it a natural activity on the device. If you’re a power Instant Messager, this is an app worth considering.
