The Daily App, MightyMeeting

Theodore Roosevelt once said, "It is not often that a man can make opportunities for himself. But he can put himself in such shape that when or if the opportunities come he is ready." And, if Roosevelt were alive today, he would have loved Today’s Daily App. MightyMeeting is a cloud based app for Android and iOS that hosts PowerPoint presentations in the cloud and allows them to be controlled remotely from a mobile device, meaning you'll be ready and able to present whenever the opportunity arises no matter what the situation. It also supports Office and PDF file management by accessing these files stored on a personal computer.

After creating an online account, presentation files may be uploaded to the online service; this can also be done through email. Once uploaded, files will always be available through the cloud via Box or Dropbox. In order to share and give presentations, an email or SMS invitation is sent out to each recipient. The slideshows may then be shared directly from a phone, tablet or web app as well as with Twitter and Facebook.

Setting MightyMeeting apart from other slideshow apps, such as Prezi Viewer and SlideShark, is that it’s not simply an app that shares links to presentations. It allows the host to present and remotely control the presentation from his or her device, delivering the spoken portion of the presentation over the phone. Recipients are then able to view the presentation on their device and listen in over their phone. This can be done over Wi-Fi or 3G network.

The free version includes the ability to attend any MightyMeeting presentation, provided an invitation has been sent or the meeting ID has been entered. It also provides a 14-day Pro trial version. MightyMeeting Pro costs $4.99/month, which includes the ability to send invitations to an unlimited number of participants and show presentations over a mobile device while speaking by phone.
