Ballmer Egg Incident Celebrated In Online Game

Two weeks after Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer was egged by an angry audience member during a speech at a Hungarian University, a Zurich, Switzerland organization called Cultimedia is running an online game called Egg Attack.

In the Flash-based game, players either assume the role of an egg-dodging Ballmer or the egg throwing miscreant, with the latter version awarding players extra points for direct facial strikes.

The egg incident also came up during Microsoft Chairman Bill Gates' Tuesday speech at the TechEd Developers conference in Orlando, Fla., as part of a Microsoft Robotics Group demonstration.

Explaining that Ballmer wasn't able to attend the show, Gates introduced the 'Ballmer-Bot,' a mechanical robot that zoomed onstage chanting 'Developers, developers, developers, developers."

Patrick Deegan, a University of Massachusetts Amherst student who showed off the Ballmer Bot's capability, said the robot's arms were designed for a wide range of subtle, flexible motions. "This makes it so that it's even able to throw eggs," Deegan quipped.
