Opera Releases New Beta Of Its Mobile Software

Opera released the beta version of its Opera Mini software version 4.2. The Opera Mini 4.2 beta version features faster download times because it can access Opera Mini's newly established server park in the U.S.

The Opera Mini 4.2 beta features better support for mobile video sites such as YouTube. Improvements to Opera Link make it easier to share notes, as well as bookmarks and visited URLs between Opera Mini-enabled phones and computers.

Opera Mini users can also download a variety of new skins to customize their phones.

"Opera Mini is a mobile application to be reckoned with," says John Jackson, vice president of the Yankee Group, in a statement. "We have witnessed a 10 percent average growth in the number of Opera Mini users worldwide every month, with every indication that the trend will continue."
