Froman Leaving Oki Data In Good Spirits

"I have nothing but great relationships and fond memories of Oki, it's a good company," said Froman, who added that he remains good friends with Stewart Krentzman, Oki Data Americas' CEO. "I was beginning my fourth year at Oki, and I just decided this was probably the ideal time to leave. We accomplished a ton: double-digit growth, market share gains . . . I feel very proud we built an excellent sales team."

He had worked closely on the construction of Oki Data's new channel program, which was announced last week.

Froman said "people are beginning to reach out to me" about other positions, but for now he is planning on spending some down time with his wife.

Oki Data has named company veteran Greg Van Acker, who joined the company in 1992, to become its new senior vice president of U.S. sales. Like Froman, who was a top channel executive at Lexmark before joining Oki Data, Van Acker has several years of channel experience under his belt. Prior to this post, Van Acker held positions as Oki Data's director of channel sales, vice president of channel and public sales and director of distribution sales.

Like Froman, Van Acker will report in to Krentzman.
