ActiveWin posted a copy of e-mail sent out to testers last week, telling them to expect a downloadable beta in two to three weeks.

Conspiracy theorists note that some Office 12 beta code "leaked" to the Web early this month, weeks after speculation that Google might take on the Microsoft Office juggernaut hit a fever pitch.
