If this mythical being exists, one thing is certain: It will be Windows-free.

The LA Times reports that Google may show off an on-the-cheap computing device at the Consumer Electronics Show this week in Vegas.

Google guy Larry Page is due to speak Friday at the annual gadget fest. And the Times cited analysts who expect Google to preview a "low-price personal computer or other device that connects to the Internet."

You can bet whatever Page has in store, the audience will be packed with folks from Redmond.
