Fifth Third Bancorp, a diversified financial-services company
Fifth Third Bancorp was in expansion mode, with 800 retail construction projects under way.
Fifth Third Bancorp operates 1,000-plus full-service banking centers and had plans to open 800 more. The financial-services company wanted control over scheduling and portfolio management of those construction projects.
Fifth Third needed a solution to manage its growth--25,000 project tasks and more than 700 users, including internal staff and outside vendors. Meridian Systems implemented its Proliance On Demand software in a secure, hosted environment, helping Fifth Third reduce capital project costs, shorten cycle times and improve facility maintenance.
Key to Success
"A key ingredient to any successful implementation is doing a lot of planning up-front. Fifth Third Bank had its requirements well-defined early on and worked closely with Meridian to confirm it was comfortable with how Proliance functionality would fulfill those requirements. Each side invested time to closely review the functional specifications, so that the implementation could proceed as smoothly as possible."
