In most departments of Stony Brook University Hospital, desktops are terminal-based, with multiple users signing on and off workstations. Stony Brook needed a software solution that would allow it to centrally control its workstations and configure desktops for each specific user at sign-on.
Challenge:
The solution provider needed to complement a Citrix platform.
Solution:
Tech Access hosted a pilot implementation of Desktop Authority, a desktop-management solution from Boca Raton, Fla.-based ScriptLogic.
Results:
The IT administrators were able to manage all desktops from a central location with far greater ease, translating into enhanced productivity; common user settings and troubleshooting that once took hours or days is now being accomplished in minutes.
