Tech Companies Go On Sale

Monday, enterprise applications vendor PeopleSoft announced it's plan to acquire mid-market competitor J.D. Edwards. While the channel was digesting that, word came of Palm's plans to acquire Handspring, reuniting some of Palm's founders with their original company, and creating an immediately stronger competitor to Microsoft in the mobile computing market.

Today, Oracle stepped into the fray, announcing plans to bid for PeopleSoft, regardless of whether the J.D. Edwards deal goes through or not.
