2007 VARBusiness 500, What You Need To Know

Monday 4/16/07

This year, will you be one of the "new kids on the block", making your debut appearance on this year's 2007 VARBusiness 500 listing of the largest North American solution providers, resellers, VARs and integrators? Or is your firm a solid seasonal-returnee VAR? Either way, you have to be "in-it-to-win-it", as the lotto saying goes. You need to send your firm's entry (TODAY), if you haven't yet filed.

But you need to hurry. Time is running out.

Here are some Q&As and some fun facts regarding the VARBusiness 500:

2) Is there a fee to submit an entry for the VARBusiness 500?
No, there is no fee. Inclusion on the VARBusiness 500 provides potential growth opportunities for you, allowing other solution providers, as well as vendors, to potentially partner with you, tapping into your expert technology and services offerings

3) How is the VARBusiness 500 list ranked?
This year's VARBusiness 500 listing is ranked on 2006 fiscal year revenues. All VARs must provide their revenue for 2005 and 2006 in order to be considered and ranked. Each year the revenue ranges from anywhere between $15 million to $45 billion (and beyond). We encourage all VARs with minimum revenue of $15 million to participate for consideration.

4) Are private companies included on the listing?
Yes, approximately half the VARBusiness 500 are privately held companies. And yes, you must provide your annual revenues in order to be considered and included on the ranked revenue listing.

5) Do I have to answer all the questions on the entry form?
The revenue questions must be answered, to be eligible for ranking and inclusion on the list. We do ask that all questions are answered to be considered for awards, which are presented at our VARBusiness 500 event. You may skip a question if necessary, if it is confidential or your firm does not break out that information. But please note, that your company may miss an opportunity for some of the many awards offered at the VARBusiness 500 event, if questions are skipped.

6) When and where is the VARBusiness event, this year?
The VARBusiness 500 awards will be held June 11-12, 2007 in New York City. Additional details will be posted on our site, shortly.

7) What are you waiting for?
Are you one of the ones who have not yet submitted your entry? Many of the VARs who just narrowly missed the previous year's VARBusiness 500 revenue cut-off, (last year's was $21 million) often meet the next year's threshold. We have already received several of last year's "VARs to Watch" entries for consideration this year.

8) Will you be one of the VARBusiness 500, this year?
We hope so!!
