How About 'Insourcing'?

For those of you involved in the government market, I stumbled across this Web site for the National Association of Legislative Information Technology (also known by the friendly acronym NALIT). Not only does this group focus on what is necessary to make legislative offices more efficient, but they are tied to the National Conference for State Legislatures. I bet we hear more about this group in months to come as IT issues become more deeply ingrained in the legislative process.
And speaking of government integration, I think it's fun that GTSI's work in the area of security has landed it a deal to handle video surveillance for Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville, Fla. The Washington Post even wrote about it, although they don't seem to want me to link to the article. The integration will actually be handled by GTSI and two members of its InteGuard Alliance, a group of more than 25 companies focused on physical security and force protection.
