Cisco's Peres: Hybrid IT Is The Future (Video)

During Cisco's Partner Summit 2013 last week in Boston, Cisco's Edison Peres talked about the partner of the future and how successful VARs are adopting a hybrid IT model.

What will the VAR of the future look like? Edison Peres, senior vice president of worldwide channels at Cisco, discussed his vision of the evolving channel during Cisco's Partner Summit 2013 last week in Boston. "I do believe that a successful partner of the future will be one that will adopt what we're calling a hybrid IT business model," Peres said. Specifically, he said, a hybrid IT model includes managed services, on-premise solutions, and public-private cloud offerings with professional consulting services. Peres also explained why Cisco wants that kind of hybrid IT partner.
