Opsware Automates SuSE Management

Opsware brings automated server- management capabilities to Novell's SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 9 (SLES 9) operating system.

Opsware, led by Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen, lowers system-ownership costs by enabling customers to centrally manage all of their servers, including all software and security upgrades.

In hooking its automation features into SLES 9, Opsware leverages the YAST Linux system-management tool, enabling enterprises to easily deploy SLES 9 and configure domain-name servers, the Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) and the Samba file-and-print server.
