Summary of Apt Commands
- apt-get update: This is used to synchronize the package index. This is the first command that should be run after installing Apt.
- apt-get install: Follow this command with one or more package names (e.g., MySQL), and Apt will download and install the necessary packages and dependent packages.
- apt-get upgrade: Used to install the latest versions of all packages currently on the system without removing any packages. Be certain to run "apt-get update" first.
- apt-get remove: As with install, provide a package name, and the corresponding package will be removed. No configuration files are removed with this command (in case you think better of your decision at a later time).
