Cognizant Joins Nasdaq 100

Cognizant Technology Solutions (No. 102 on the 2004 VARBusiness 500), an IT outsourcing company based in Teaneck, N.J., was recently added to the Nasdaq 100 Index. The index was launched in 1985 and is composed of the 100 largest nonfinancial stocks listed on the Nasdaq stock market based on total market capitalization. Cognizant, whose stock has risen and revenue had double-digit growth, joins fellow VARBusiness 500 solution providers on the Index, including CDW (No. 18), Fiserv (No. 28) and Level 3 Communications (No. 40). Compuware (No. 70), however, recently fell off the list.
