Keane Achieves Milestone in Canada

Boston-based outsourcing firm Keane's Canadian subsidiary, Keane Canada, has become the first Canadian IT services facility to achieve Level 5 status for the Software Engineering Institute's Capability Maturity Model Integration. As a result, all of Keane's software development centers now have Level 5 capabilities. Keane's "near-shore" development center in Canada has helped the company attract more outsourcing customers that were reluctant to ship software development work to faraway foreign lands. Keane officials say its Canadian operations have experienced strong growth in the past year.
