Lexmark X342n MFP
Price: $399
For a low-end multifunction printer, the Lexmark X342n has some nice features. Designed for those who print 15,000 pages per month, on the average, Lexmark's new monochrome MFP makes good time, producing the first print in about 10 seconds and printing 27 pages per minute. This networked MFP handles scanning, faxing, copying and printing (using PCL 6 emulation) and can be used in a wide variety of small and midsize businesses. It's affordable and practical enough for home offices but also will work nicely in midsize enterprises. The system comes with a 2,500-page starter toner cartridge, which can be replaced with same-capacity cartridges or with those supporting 6,000 pages. The X342n comes with a 250-page paper tray, and a 550-page tray can be added for a total capacity of 800 pages. Additional options include wireless and Gbit Ethernet.
