iPad Suppliers Brush Off Persistent Delay Rumors

rumors of production issues and impending delays according to a report in Digitimes

Foxconn did not comment on the rumors or speculation, but Digitimes apparently spoke with Foxconn's suppliers, which reiterated that they are on schedule and that they believe the proposed late March launch date (Apple hasn't released the actual day yet) is still a go.

The Digitimes article contradicts an earlier report from analyst Peter Misek of Canaccord Adams, who cited "an unspecified production problem" leading to a "manufacturing bottleneck" for the iPad that could potentially force Apple to push back the device's high-profile launch.

Another research firm, ThinkEquity, is also reporting "minor delays" for the iPad, according to The Wall Street Journal. "The manufacturing of the iPads was supposed to pick up in February, but volumes even in March are still low," ThinkEquity's research note stated.
