CRN India Launches Under The Channel Company

Following the conclusion of its licensing arrangement with the Indian Express Group, the channel publication begins a new phase.

The Channel Company has expanded coverage of the IT channel in India with the integration of CRN India on CRN Asia. From February 2, CRN India will be editorially managed by The Channel Company following the end of a successful long-term licensing agreement between The Channel Company and the Indian Express Group, which published CRN India for the past decade.

“We’re thrilled to deliver essential coverage of India’s IT channel on CRN Asia,” said Matt Yorke, CEO of The Channel Company. “We're excited to further expand geographically to better serve our customers with world-class journalism that brings independent reporting, expert analysis, and exclusive insights to support IT channel momentum across the region.”

The integration will see outstanding, dedicated coverage of India’s dynamic IT ecosystem continues uninterrupted on CRN Asia and in the market-leading CRN India Newsletter. CRN Asia will now feature a section dedicated exclusively to the India tech channel under the leadership of Editor Aaron Raj, an experienced tech journalist in the region.

“India’s channel ecosystem is just as diverse and unique as the rest of Asia. We’re looking forward to providing more regional coverage across India and Asia, sharing the success, opportunities as well as the challenges experienced by both vendors and partners,” Raj said.

Taking over as editor of CRN India will be Kumar Gandharv. A technology journalist and editor with over half a decade of experience covering the enterprise and IT sector, Gandharv has extensively reported on digital transformation trends across Asia-Pacific, engaging closely with CTOs, CIOs, and CDOs to produce in‑depth stories, analyses, and leadership features.

“The launch of CRN India under The Channel Company comes at the right time for the market. India’s IT channel is evolving rapidly, driven by cloud, AI and large-scale digital transformation, and there is a growing need for credible, regionally connected journalism. This move enables us to deliver stronger insights, broader Asia-Pacific context and more impactful coverage for the channel community,” commented Gandharv.
