HCLTech Sets Up Anthropic Business Unit, Reports $3.3 Billion In Q2 FY27 Deal Bookings
The global premier partnership includes a Center of Excellence for enterprise Claude deployments, integrations into selected HCLSoftware products and the use of Claude and Claude Code in HCLTech’s AI Force platform.
HCLTech is establishing a dedicated Anthropic business unit and Center of Excellence (CoE) to develop agentic AI solutions and support enterprise deployments of Claude, as the two companies expand their collaboration across services, software products and AI engineering.
Under a new global premier partnership, HCLTech will build industry-specific solutions powered by Anthropic’s Claude, Cowork and Claude Code.
The CoE will provide secure sandbox environments for enterprise deployments through forward-deployed engineers (FDEs), while HCLTech will help customers adopt AI-native engineering practices, train employees and develop the capabilities needed to operate agentic AI safely at scale.
The agreement also extends into HCLTech’s software business. HCLSoftware becomes an Anthropic independent software vendor (ISV) partner, with access to advanced models to integrate Claude capabilities into selected enterprise products.
Separately, HCLTech, No. 15 on the 2026 CRN Solution Provider 500, will integrate Claude and Claude Code into its AI Force platform for IT support, code remediation and digital employee services.
The partnership focuses on safety, cybersecurity and governance. HCLTech said the AI Force workflows will include policy guardrails, exception handling and human oversight for high-impact changes.
Daniela Amodei, Anthropic’s co-founder and president, said HCLTech manages critical systems for organizations across sectors including banking, healthcare, telecommunications and manufacturing, making it a partner for integrating Claude and Claude Code into enterprise operations.
HCLTech CEO and managing director, C Vijayakumar, said the company’s combination of global systems integration capabilities and software products gives it an advantage in engineering and deploying agentic AI at scale.
HCLSoftware To Integrate Claude Into Selected Products
The software integration is a distinct part of the partnership. HCLSoftware will incorporate Claude capabilities into selected products spanning cybersecurity, automation, business process applications and application development.
HCLTech specifically named HCL BigFix and HCL AppScan among the products covered by the planned integrations. The announcement also referenced enabling Actian AI Analyst.
The companies have not disclosed a release schedule, pricing or the specific features that will be available in each product. The announcement therefore establishes the direction of product development, rather than confirming that all the integrations are already generally available.
HCLTech will also bring Claude and Claude Code into AI Force, its agentic software engineering platform.
The planned applications include IT support, code remediation and digital employee services, with governance controls for workflows involving high-impact changes.
AI Revenue Reaches $876 Million Annualized
