Tool Brings OS X 'Tiger' Compatibility To Aging Apple Macs

Other World Computing (OWC) said Thursday its XPostFacto 4.0 will expand the operating system compatibility backward to cover older Macs all the back to the original Mac.

“Macs last an amazingly long time and XPostFacto helps them go that much longer,” said OWC president Larry O&Connor in a statement. “A lot of people have some pretty decked-out PowerMac 7300-9600s, and PowerMac G3s – never mind the laptops and iMacs that no longer get Apple support.”

OWC&s 4.0 supports Apple&s Mac OSC 10.4 (Tiger), the company said, noting that the release runs on Mac OS 9.x or 10.2 through 10.4.
