Sun Set To Beta Test StarOffice 6.1

The StarOffice announcement comes hard on the heels of the announcement this week that Corel will release its next suite, WordPerfect Office 11, by the end of April, and that Microsoft will also make its Office 2003 beta available to the public on Monday.

Sun is taking applications for StarOffice 6.1 beta testers on its Web site and is looking for small-to-medium enterprise users in particular. The beta test will run until early May, with an expected release of the suite in mid-summer.
