Arrow's SBM Division Hosts Linux ISV Partnering Event

The first session is scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday at Arrow's SBM offices in Duluth, Ga. The two-day event will help solution providers create Linux solutions for the small- and midsize-business market, said Michael Haley, vice president of Arrow's SBM division.

"Resellers need a competitive differentiator, and having a turnkey Linux solution that is easily accessible and proven to work and uses leading software partners to solve business management challenges will be a terrific growth catalyst for our HP Linux Elite partners," Haley said in a statement.

Arrow is slated to present solutions from Oracle, SuSE, Red Hat, Arkeia, Radiant Data, Ricis and Wave Consulting Group in its Enterprise Solutions Lab in Duluth.

The distributor said it chose the ISVs and HP affiliates because they could provide a complete solution in e-business and collaboration using Oracle eBusiness Suite and SuSE Open Exchange.

Arrow also said it hopes that the resulting partnerships will maximize the resellers' and ISVs' revenue opportunities in the HP Linux market, such as by helping end users manage their entire business using the Linux operating system.
