Curl Fortifies Channel Lineup

Curl, Cambridge, Mass., will announce Monday it has signed BPM Partners, Avior Group, Agillist and Six400 to its Curl Partner Program to help the company deliver to customers its Web presentation and application development software, the Curl Client/Web Platform.

Curl introduced its partner program last March. The three-tiered program provides partners with discounts, training, marketing and professional services support based on the level of commitment the partner makes to Curl. Before formalizing the program, Curl worked with solution providers on a case-by-case basis.

Launched out of an MIT research project in 1998, Curl has developed software designed to overcome performance bottlenecks in data-rich and graphics-intensive Web applications by providing a rich client for processing and presenting data on the desktop. The Curl Client/Web Platform can run alongside both J2EE and .Net development platforms.

Competing in the space with Curl is Macromedia and Laszlo Systems, both based in San Francisco.
