Sun Partners With BrightMail To Seal Sun ONE Messaging Server From Spam
At the Catalyst show in San Francisco Wednesday, Sun announced the integration of BrightMail's antispam solution with its Sun ONE Messaging Server, a key component of the company's Sun ONE collaboration suite that was unveiled in April.
The partnership will enable channel partners of both companies to sell BrightMail's optimized antispam enterprise solution for Sun's e-mail server. San Francisco-based BrightMail, which is getting set to launch version 5.0 of its namesake platform on July 21, offers content analysis and server-side filtering.
Santa Clara, Calif.-based Sun said Sun ONE Messaging Server currently offers access controls to prevent system access by unauthorized senders, as well as support for the Mail Abuse Prevention Service's Real-time Black Hole List, which identifies and blocks e-mails from spammers.
