Red Hat Names Ex-Lenovo/IBM Exec Enzweiler To Head Channel Sales

Enzweiler will serve as vice president of North American channel sales at the Raleigh, N.C.-based Linux distributor and report to Ed Boyajian, Red Hat's vice president of strategic alliances. Enzweiler will be based in Red Hat's Raleigh headquarters.

Most recently, Enzweiler was vice president of global channel strategy and sales at Lenovo. Before that, he spent 25 years at IBM, serving in the Latin American region, Personal Systems Group and oil and gas industry. At IBM, he also served as vice president of North American channel sales and director of global sales.

Red Hat sells through distribution but has only recently begun spearheading a services channel. The appointment signals Red Hat's plan to build out a global channel strategy, the company said in a statement Wednesday.
