Terms of the cash deal, which is expected to close in January, weren't disclosed.

Visual One Systems, Frederick, Md., makes software for hospitality segments such as property management, golf courses, spas and catering. The company, which also has offices in Leatherhead, Surrey, U.K., has annual revenue of about $9 million.

The acquisition of Visual One Systems -- whose customers include North American and international hotels, resorts, conference centers and condominiums -- will enable Agilysys to expand its position in the hotel casino and destination resort market, according to Arthur Rhein, chairman and CEO of the Boca Raton, Fla.-based distributor.

"The acquisition of Visual One strategically provides Agilysys a complementary product offering and significantly increases the breadth of our customer set in the hospitality market," Rhein said in a statement.
